The box is delivered flat packed to keep the delivery package small, and is typically protected with plastic wrap.
The box should first be folded out to its prism shape.
Afterwards place the box on the ground upside down so the underside of the box is facing upwards.

  2. Fold and Tape the Underside Flaps

The smaller underside flaps should first be folded into the box so it lays at a 90 degree angle from the sidewall.
The larger flaps should then be folded over those smaller flaps. Use a strong tape to close the seam as much as reasonably possible. Using a wider tape will make this easier and create a far stronger seal.
The best method for applying tape is from around 4 inches up the sidewall and then across the main seam to 4 inches down the other sidewall.
Apply more layers to reinforce if needed.
Apply another strip of tape across the the seam 2 – 4 times at both ends of the underside of the box.
This helps to keep the tape from peeling and provides more reinforcement to the underside to prevent it from collapsing under the stored items weight.

  3. Construct the Topside Sidewall Reinforcement

Some Smoothmove boxes that use the reinforced cut out handle structure. You can identify this by the graphics on the smaller topside flaps.
There graphics are instructions printed on the top side flaps on how to put this together.
    It goes as follows:
Fold the handle so it lays at a right angle from the sidewall.

The first crease along the flap should be folded down at a 45 degree angle.
The final crease should then fold to lay the remaining part of the card flat against the inner sidewall.

The cut out in the flap should then be positioned to allow the handle cut out in the main sidewall of the box to rest against this flap reinforcement when being carried.
Repeat this at both sides of the box
The inside of the box should now have the reinforced sides completed with the topside open, ready for items to be loaded inside.

  4. Seal the Top

Once you’ve fully loaded the box with your items, you can then apply the same method of taping the seams to hold them in place as we did for the underside of the box.
